Inspired by the biodiverse fauna of Costa Rica, artisan Susana Rubinstein, who also has roots in Paraguay, fabricates this cutting board from beautiful laurel wood, creating the image of a tropical toucan with the pyrographic technique of burning the design into the wood. Rubinstein completes the cutting board by curing it with two coats of beeswax and later polishing it to achieve a smooth finish.
