None better than an elephant to keep the reader’s focus on the book rather than the phone. Perched atop this bookmark reigns the ‘Reading Elephant’ devoted to guiding wandering minds with its raised trunk. Oaxaca-based artisan couple Pablo and Lucy Mendez carve, polish and paint this bookmark based on Lucy’s design inspired by the rightfully Mexican alebrije style synthesized by famed artist Pedro Linares in 1936.
